The Raveonettes are pretty much Denmark’s most widely known group internationally, outside of Aqua. Thank god they exist too – they make frigging great music. In case you’re new to music here or have just been switched on – The Raveonettes are comprised of Sune Wagner and Sharin Foo. Wagner is widely regarded as one of Denmark’s most influential sons- his band prior to forming the Raveonettes – Psyched Up Janis – were one of DK’s (if not the world’s) finest acts of the 90s. Moving into the 2000s – Wagner split up PUJ and grabbed Sharin Foo (hubba hubba!) and formed The Raveonettes. Early albums like “Whip It On” and “Chain Gang Of Love” were heavy and fast – picture a 60s girl group melded together with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. It was something to behold.
