They have been dubbed as the band that embraces youthful enthusiasm by Noisey, by JaJaJa as playing MGMT-ish music, and by Interview Magazine as a favorite for indie-lovers. I couldn’t agree more. That said, in reality Slaughter Beach is just three nice guys from the middle of the country – Odense to be exact. We featured them on SoundOfAarhus as part of our WatchOut series a couple of years ago, in 2013, and I still love them and their sound as much as I did back then when I wrote the piece in the middle of the night on exactly the same date as now. Since then, a lot of water has been running under the bridge, and major magazines all over the world have been featuring our Odense-based indie three-piece; including Pigeons & Planes, Noisey, Interview Magazine, JaJaJa, NME, and Clash. Furthermore, they have released their debut EP ‘Love/Venice’ – A five-track release featuring airy and nostalgic sounds, and an elegant mix of noisy background and elegant guitar.
